IC50 Tower Index

Tower Crane News - 24th August 2009

D&G Hoist & Crane Hire are ranked 17th on the IC Tower Index. In a similar way to the main IC50 index, companies that own and/or rent out tower cranes are ranked by their IC tower index.

The index is calculated by adding together the maximum load moment rating, in tone-metres, of all tower cranes in a company’s equipment fleet. Where companies supply full data the figure used is calculated by them. In some cases, where no data is submitted, or is incomplete, the figure is based IC estimates of a company’s equipment fleet. The IC tower index is updated in the first quarter of 2010.

New entries are a major feature of this year’s table with 12 of them taking the total number of entries to a record 43. Like in 2008, four of the 12 are in the top 20, this year led by Neremat from Belgium at number 13, followed by General Crane from the US at 15, D&G hoist and crane hire from Australia at 17 and Kranor from Norway at 20.
