PROJECT: MELBOURNE AIRPORT CARPARK
CLIENT: FORM700
CRANE: 2 X COMEDIL CTT561/A-24
Verticon was commissioned to provide two cranes for the construction of the new multi story long term car park at the Melbourne international airport for form worker Form700 and head contractor John Holland.
Two Comedil CTT561/A-24 Flat top tower cranes were selected for the project due to the low over head height eg no “A” frame and there large booms 74 meters.
The cranes were contracted for approximately 10 months with the last one being removed earlier this year.
PROJECT: STAGE 33 CHADSTONE SHOPPING CENTER

CRANE: 1 X COMEDIL CTT561/A-24
Verticon was awarded the contract to supply a Comedil CTT561/A-24 flat top tower crane at Chadstone shopping center for Probuild constructions to assist with new expansion of the shopping center.
As there was good power supply on site and the large 74 meter boom of the Comedil it made a good choice for the builder.
The crane was dismantled in June 2009 taking approximately 6 hours to complete, new record for the rigging team here in Melbourne, thus demonstrating the
high level of skill and efficiency from the Melbourne crew.
PROJECT: WESTGATE BRIDGE RE STRENGTHENING PROJECT

HOIST: 2 X ALIMAK 24/32 INTERNAL DRIVES
In 2008 Verticon was awarded the contract to supply to Alimak man and material hoist at the west gate bridge to assist them with personnel access into the bridge beams.
The two hoist were installed and commissioned in the month of June 2009. The two hoist are located on either side of the of the bridge at pier 15 and pier 10 respectively.
Due to the low height at the top platform D&G Verticon modified the two hoist to internal drive so over head height was kept to a minimum.
The contract is expected to run for approximately 2 years.
PROJECT: BENNETTS LANE
CLIENT: MAXCON
HOIST: ALIMAK 650 24/32 FC
In July 2009 D&G Verticon installed the first new generation Alimak 650 man and material hoist in Melbourne for Maxcon at their Bennetts lane apartment project.
The hoist was erected in one go to the final height of 11 floors and commissioned within 5 days, this was a good result for the team as it was there first time installing one of these new machines.
The hoist is expected to be up for the next 7 months.
