Safety is paramount in the industry we are in, it is therefore paramount in every activity we do on a day to day basis. To fulfil our commitment to safety we are proudly a fully endorsed Safety, quality and Environmental company.
D&G Verticon lead the way in safety in our industry having dedicated personnel managing and improving not only our safety systems on an ongoing basis, but also looking at and improving the way we go about our daily activites.
A great example of these improvements can be seen in our recent improvement in our hoisting department that earned us the 'Golden Boot Innovation award' [PDF - 152kb] from ABI group contractors.
The improvement involved the adaption of the hoist jib used for manually installing tower sections into a lanyard connection point so allowing free and easy movement for our riggers over the entire hoist car while remaining permanently harnessed.

As part of our commitment to safety we are leading the way in introducing 'Crane Safe' checking of all our new tower crane installations.
Crane Safe was become a standard requirement within the mobile crane industry in recent years allowing vast improvements in the safety and reliability of the cranes within that industry, by adopting the same practice in the tower crane industry we believe similar jumps in standards can also be achieved.
The first tower crane in NSW to be checked under crane safe was commissioned at the North Shore Private Bovis Lend Lease site.
